The race to become the next James Bond remains wide open, but Callum Turner continues to lead the bookmakers’ odds as speculation grows over who will inherit one of cinema’s most iconic roles.
According to the latest odds, Turner has reclaimed and strengthened his position as the frontrunner to replace Daniel Craig, with odds of 73/5.
The next James Bond film remains in development more than five years after No Time to Die, with widespread reports suggesting producers hope to finalise the casting before the end of 2026 and begin production in 2027.
Turner leads the field
The Masters of the Air star, who is married to singer-songwriter Dua Lipa, tops the latest odds, having regained first place after briefly being overtaken by Anthony Boyle and Jacob Elordi in recent months.
His relatively open filming schedule and lack of commitments to major film franchises are seen as factors that could work in his favour if Amazon’s new James Bond leadership opts for a long-term leading man.
New challenger emerges
The biggest mover is Tom Francis, who has climbed to second with odds of 333/100 after reports surfaced that he had auditioned for the role.
The Olivier Award-winning Sunset Boulevard star is a relative newcomer to film audiences, although theatre performers are reportedly receiving significant attention during the casting process.
Youngest James Bond ever?
Rounding out the top three is Louis Partridge, whose odds are 91/20.
The Enola Holmes and House of Guinness actor at 23 would become the youngest actor ever cast as James Bond should he land the role.
The remainder of the top five includes Harris Dickinson (5/1), currently filming Sam Mendes’ Beatles biopics, and long-time Bond favourite Aaron Taylor-Johnson (567/100), who previously spent an extended period atop bookmaker rankings before production plans changed.

Despite the betting markets, the eventual choice could still surprise audiences.
Before landing the role in 2005, Daniel Craig was not widely regarded as the bookmakers’ favourite, with his appointment catching many fans and industry observers off guard.
With Amazon now steering the future of the franchise following its acquisition of creative control, the eventual choice is expected to reflect a new vision for 007, even if the essential qualities of the iconic British spy remain unchanged.
