What are the Springboks’ stats at Cape Town Stadium?
South Africa have played six international matches in total at the Cape Town Stadium since 2021.
Their only loss over that period came in July that year: a 22-17 defeat against the British & Irish Lions.
The Springboks went on to win that series 2-1, recording wins in the other two games, also played at the stadium (27-9 and 19-16).
In July 2022, South Africa defeated Wales 30-14, with Eben Etzebeth earning his 100th cap that day.
Two years later, in September 2024, the Springboks claimed the Freedom Cup after beating New Zealand 18-12 at the stadium. South Africa went on to also secure the Rugby Championship later that month.
In June 2025, the Springboks thrashed the Barbarians 54-7 (in a non-Test), then bested Australia 30-22 in August 2025 during that year’s Rugby Championship.

New Zealand’s track record in Cape Town
Meanwhile, the All Blacks have some history of their own at a former venue in Cape Town.
