In February, Massmart confirmed that they were considering closing around 20 stores in Gauteng, the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal. They did not share a list of which branches would be closed. WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR YOUR JOBS?

Massmart has not revealed how many jobs will be affected this time. The 2022 closure of eight stores put around 700 jobs at risk. However, Massmart reportedly said that when stores do convert to Walmart them staff will be transferred accordingly.

Massmart also said they are continuing to invest in the remaining Game stores.
