Former Idols South Africa winner Sasha-Lee David has delivered yet another mesmerising performance of the national anthem, this time at Cape Town’s DHL Stadium, where the Springboks defeated the All Blacks 33-26.
The songbird won Idols South Africa Season 5 in 2009, when she was just 18.
SASHA-LEE DAVIDS PERFORMS NATIONAL ANTHEM
Ahead of kick-off, Sasha-Lee Davids wowed the crowd with her performance of the South African national anthem.
The now 35-year-old posted a series of pictures of her experience on her social media platform.
She shared: “What an honour. 🇿🇦💚 Singing our National Anthem again❤️ AND celebrating a Springboks win — what a moment! 🏆”

Two years ago, Sasha-Lee Davids and the Mzansi Youth Choir performed the South African national anthem at the Springboks vs All Blacks game at Ellis Park.
Bu that’s not all – in 2017, Sasha-Lee sang Nkosi Sikelel i Afrika before a Test against Argentina.
WHAT IS SHE UP TO NOW?
Since winning Idols in 2009, Sasha-Lee Davids has continued her career as a music artist.
She released her debut album, Sasha-Lee the same year, and several singles in the years that followed. She has also travelled to the UK and US for music opportunities, and later appeared in the reality series House of Davids, which focused on her musical family.
Sasha-Lee-Davids has continued recording and performing over the years, including releasing new music such as A Little Love in 2021 and performing with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra.
She has become a regular fixture at sporting events like the Springboks test matches, where she has been invited to sing the national anthem
