Reality TV star joins ActionSA – announces bid to become ward councillor

Two years after enduring a dramatic breakup with his partner, Lebogang Sephaphathi, on the season finale of The Ultimatum South Africa, Lehlohonolo Moseko, also known as Nolla, has returned to the spotlight, this time in politics. In fact, the reality TV star is hoping to secure a position as ward councillor for ActionSA in the Emfuleni Municipality during the upcoming local government elections.

Nolla and Lebo have since wed and welcomed a baby boy together.

THE ULTIMATUM’S NOLLA ANNOUNCES ACTIONSA COUNCILLOR BID

In an Instagram post, Nolla Moseko surprised his followers by announcing his bid to run as ward councillor in his local district.

He shared: “It’s official, we are contesting Local Government Elections, and I’m your Counsellor [councillor] Candidate for ActionSA in Emfuleni Ward 35. Let’s vote for change”.

The news was met with surprise and amusement from his followers, given his career as a businessman and social media influencer.

“Giving South Africans an ultimatum?” asked one. “This country is a joke”, responded another.

ROLLERCOASTER ROMANCE

Three years ago, Nolla and his partner Lebo dramatically split on the reunion episode of The Ultimatum South Africa.

The couple had entered the reality TV show in the hopes of strengthening their relationship – Lebo wanted marriage, but Nolla was not ready to commit.

However, during the show, filmed in 2023, Lebo publicly dumped Nolla and left the reality TV experiment after discovering that he had hooked up with a co-star.

During the  2024 reunion, the duo dropped a bombshell that they had reconciled. It was short-lived, though, as Lebo dumped Nolla for the second time – this time during the finale – after claiming she was “unhappy.”

She said: “He hasn’t changed. I don’t see myself being married to him. I don’t feel like I’m in love with you, and I’ve decided to end our relationship.”

Nolla later described being blindsided as a “betrayal.”

Despite the high-profile split, the couple rekindled their romance and got married last year. They also welcomed a baby boy.

“Our love story is about resilience and forgiveness”, Nolla told Batswadi Magazine.

He added, “We learned to grow up and heal, and now we get to raise love itself”.

ACTIONSA AFFILIATION

Nolla wouldn’t be the first high-profile person to support ActionSA and its leader, Herman Mashaba.
