According to global transfer expert Ekrem Konur, Strasbourg remain interested in Oswin Appollis, although an offer for the Orlando Pirates attacker is still uncertain. Clubs from Portugal and Spain are also reportedly keeping an eye on the talented winger.
“Exclusive: Strasbourg scouts continue monitoring Oswin Appollis. Offer still uncertain. Radar: Portuguese & Spanish clubs also interested,” the report said.
The latest development comes after an impressive spell for Appollis since his R16 million from Polokwane City to Orlando Pirates ahead of the 2025/26 season.
STRASBOURG CONTINUE MONITORING OSWIN APPOLLIS
The Bishop Lavis-born attacker has recorded 14 goals and eight assists across all domestic competitions. The 25-year-old helped Pirates win the MTN8, Carling Knockout Cup and Betway Premiership title.
Primarily operating as a left winger or attacking midfielder, Appollis has also added more defensive responsibility to his game, becoming a player capable of contributing at both ends of the pitch.
His first season at Pirates brought major success, with the club lifting the MTN8 and Carling Knockout Cup. Appollis also played an important role as Pirates ended Mamelodi Sundowns’ long-standing dominance to win the Betway Premiership title.
His performances were recognised at the PSL Awards, where Appollis was named Betway Premiership Midfielder of the Season.
EUROPEAN INTEREST GROWS
Appollis has also established himself as an important attacking player for Bafana Bafana.
One of his standout international performances came in the 5-0 AFCON qualifying victory over Eritrea. The Orlando Pirates star provided three assists and created several opportunities.
He also produced a goal and an assist during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho.
Now, Strasbourg are reportedly continuing to monitor his progress, while clubs in Portugal and Spain are also said to be interested.
There is currently no indication that a formal offer has been made, meaning Appollis remains an Orlando Pirates player for now. However, with European clubs watching closely, his future could become a major transfer talking point.
