South African attacking midfielder Puso Dithejane was again on target on target, this time twice, for Chicago Fire against Cruz Azul.
The two teams met in the Leagues Cup group stage match in the early hours of Friday at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview.

Dithejane got a rare start for Chicago Fire, and he proved to be menace to the Cruz Azul defence throughout the game.
After goalless first half draw, the visitors upped the ante after the 60th minute with Dithejane in the thick of things.
And in the 67th minute, Dithejane fired his side ahead with a superb strike, much to the delight of his teammates and bench.
With Chicago Fire looking certain for a win, Cruz Azul equalised in the 81st minute through Nicolas Ibanez.
However, there was still time for Chicago Fire to get the winner, and it was none other Dithejane who found the back of the net deep into stoppage time.
Ultimately, Chicago Fire registered a hard-fought 2-1 win over Cruz Azul to edge closer to the knockout stages of the 2026 Leagues Cup.
For Dithejane, this was his third goal in Chicago Fire colours after having opened his account against Inter Miami in July.
